Well it’s been ages hasn’t it?! Where did you go? You may ask..I have been posting more on my Instagram to be honest but I hope I can spark that love I had for my blog when I first started blogging!
I have been discovering new brands because of Instagram and also I am now trying to make more of a conscious decision when I’m buying clothes etc. I’m asking myself do I need it or do I want it. If I actually need it I will buy it. I’ve way too much in my closet to be honest and I don’t need more!
I’ve recently joined By Rotation which is a platform where you can basically rent clothes. I think this is such a great platform because it will reduce the amount of clothes we are buying and then throwing away! It is better for our environment! You can register for early access.
Anyways of course I have found brands that I am really liking at the moment and I have purchased things from because I knew I needed it and will wear. The brands I have discovered are: With Jean, Hara and Girlfriend Collective. The first two are Australian brands and the last is an American brand.
I went to Rhodes, Greece, back in July and I didn’t have any Summer clothes to bring with me to a 30+ degree weather country so where better to get clothes than from an Australian brand right?! I love the way their clothes are kinda sexy without being too much! They’re still classic pieces you can wear in the Autumn/Winter. Oh my gosh I actually forgot to mention that the brand is With Jean!
I purchased their Audrey dress, Louie, Bridgett and Remi tops. They’re true to size, apart from the Louie top-it does come up small, and they’re classic pieces. I can dress the pieces up and down which is important. They aren’t cheap though so definitely an investment.
The next Australian brand is Hara which is a sustainable underwear brand. I recently purchased a bra and undie from them and I cannot wait to get them. Again they’re a bit more of an investment but I like their story. I got the Maya low waist undies and the Stella low cut bra.
The third and final brand is Girlfriend Collective which is an American brand that make workout gear out of plastic bottles which I find amazing!! I am getting into working out a good bit and I only have one workout pants and bra thing but I bought the Cocoa Compressive High Rise Leggings and the Sedona Topanga Bra. I also cannot wait to get these!
There you have it, those are the brands I have recently discovered. If you have any other recommendations of brands that are sustainable and eco friendly then please let me know in the comments section below.
