I’ve been using Rescue for a few months now and I thought it was time to review it!
*Disclaimer: I was gifted this product to try*
It was back in March when I was gifted this serum. It’s an epidermal repair serum.
When I first applied it I did notice a smell. It’s kinda like chlorine but not. However, the smell isn’t overpowering and it doesn’t linger at all. I also tried the Tropical Mango mask probably a week or so after I started using Rescue (I was given a bit of product to try-I will have a review up soon). This mask is super hydrating for the skin. You can leave it on for a few minutes or over night. Now I left it on over night three nights in a row ( I wouldn’t recommend it!-these products contain active ingredients so I definitely learned my lesson after that haha).
As you can probably imagine using the mask three nights in a row did not agree with my skin. I immediately panicked and decided to apply Rescue differently. I was applying one pump of Rescue onto clean skin and then I went in with Clarify and Clear. Now before I had the reaction I started noticing my skin even more clearer and smoother so I was LOVING Rescue. However, I decided to combine half a pump of Rescue with my moisturiser..because I diluted the effectiveness (in a way) I didn’t notice much of a difference so after my skin calmed down I started to go back to using one pump onto my clean skin.
As soon as I started doing that again I started seeing my skin get clearer and when I spot treated I noticed that the spot didn’t get any bigger and went away after a few days. I have to admit, I am a picker (I know-gross) but I decided not to so I could see what the product was doing because it isn’t cheap! It is €123.50 for 30ml bottle.
Now I will say that a little goes a long way! I’ve been using it since March every day and night and I still have more than half left! Before writing this review I had decided to research what other people thought of it. A lot of people with rosacea were using it and loved it. Most of the reviews were positive. A few mentioned the smell but like I said before, it isn’t overpowering and it doesn’t linger.
So..would I recommend this serum? 100% yes! However I will say that if you use it with Clarify and Clear you will have an amazing spot fighting machine! I’ve repurchased Clarify and I’m almost out of Clear so I will be repurchasing it so when you know you’ll spend the money then you know it’s worth it! If you haven’t read my review of Clarify then read it here.
My love for Osmosis Skincare is growing! I guess when you suffered with really bad acne since your teenage years into your young adult like it’s great to know that you have found a skincare that keeps that at bay! I used to take the pill for my skin as well and that calmed it down but when I went off it my acne got worse again so I’m super thankful for Osmosis and the girls in Skin 26 for looking after my skin. I also want to thank Cáit for gifting me this serum and for always being there when I have a question. Really thank you to all the girls! Ye are amazing!
