Hi guys,
So as you already know I was able to get my hands on a few Glossier bits (How did you get them to ship to Ireland?-Read my blog post here).
I have used the products enough (and created two different looks on my Insta Stories with the products) and I finally feel like I can give you an honest review.
So are these products worth it and do they do what they’re meant to do?
As you may already know, it’s a brand created to let your natural skin shine through. It’s all about enhancing your natural beauty which I love!
I love being able to see skin and not have it masked by full coverage products. I do, of course, wear full coverage make up every now and then but I prefer a light-medium coverage. Of course, some people aren’t as confident in their own skin as others and that is totally fine. I have had a few times and years where I would not go outside the house without make up on or let ANYONE see me without make up! Yes, my skin was so bad! It still isn’t that great but thanks to my current skincare routine I really am more confident with my skin. I feel I can go without wearing make up and sometimes I might even just wear concealer.
If you want to know what my skincare routine is like then read my reviews here , here and here.
So first off I’m going to talk about the stretch concealer. I actually love this product and the colour is perfect for my skin tone. I got it in medium. It is nice and creamy and dewy. It is a light concealer so don’t expect it to give you a high coverage but it still does conceal. It works really well if your undereye is a little drier and it doesn’t crease. I apply it with my ring finger and pat it on. I don’t put powder over it as I like the dewy-ness.
The second stand out product I want to talk about is.. The balm! It is by far one of the best lip balms I’ve used! It helped my lips go through the “Beast from the East” and basically the cold weather we’ve been having. My lips didn’t dry up or crack once! It’s replaced my previous fave lip balm and I’m surprised cause I really didn’t expect to find a better one. I am actually excited to get the birthday edition! Definitely buy this if you want to try one product!
The third stand out product is Boy Brow. I love the way this makes your brows look! I love how bushy and natural they come out. It fills in the gaps for me and it makes my brows look fuller! Another thing I love about this, is that it doesn’t make your eyebrows feel crusty or stiff. It holds the hair without it looking like you have product on them-if that makes sense! I got in the shade brown. Definitely a must buy! I will be buying a back up or two!
My fourth fave product is the Haloscope highlighter in Quartz. I love the dewy, natural highlight it gives your skin! I apply it with my finger as it can move your foundation when applying it directly! It’s so pretty and I definitely want to get more shades!
Now I do like Cloud Paint but I think maybe it might be too dark for me right now. I think I might need to be a little more tan. I got it in the shade Dusk. You do need to be careful because a lot of product comes out and a little goes a loooong way! I do want to get another shade and I will definitely use Dusk when I have a bit of colour.. I think it’ll look better.
The last product which I do like but don’t love love is.. Skin Tint. It’s super dewy and it’s a very sheer coverage. Your skin really does need to be in tip top shape to use this product because the coverage is minimal but it is a lovely product to use. It’s perfect if you’ve dry skin or if your skin is drier in the winter months like mine is at the moment. I do love using it but only when my skin is looking good. I don’t think I can use this when the weather gets warmer because my skin is mostly oily. However I do feel this is a good product but for the right person!
Here is a look I created using The Glossier products. Let me know what you think.
So there you have it, my Glossier review. What did you think? Have you tried any of the products I mentioned? I really want to try the Lid Star products. I wonder are they as good as the Giorgio Armani eye tints I love (I’ll have a review soon!).
