I don’t know what it is about this month but I’ve gone beauty crazy! Maybe it’s the ‘New Year, New You’ mentality or maybe it’s because there are so many nice bits in right now!
I seem to be going for Charlotte Tilbury in the make up category and I think I’ve become obsessed! I want to buy more… shhh don’t tell my boyfriend! Haha
The first ever products I bought from Charlotte Tilbury was the lip liner Pillow Talk and their gloss in Blondie. I love that combo and I think it’s quite a natural look. Also the gloss goes well with any lipstick if you want to give it that umph.
Recently enough I’ve gone back to wanting more lipsticks and I got one from her collection. It’s the Matte Revolution one. They’re quite pricey at €30 but they’re so nice to put on and not drying at all!! I got Very Victoria and it is my perfect colour..it’s basically my lips but better kind of colour. I keep combining those three and I love how they look together!
I went to Dundrum Town Centre and even though I have Charlotte Tilbury near me I still went over and came out with what has started to be a fave already. I got another Matte Revolution lipstick in the shade Bond Girl (€30) and their gloss High Society (€22) (another amazing combo)
I, again, lined my lips with Pillow Talk and it is such a nice smoked berry kind of look! The gloss is very pigmented, unlike Blondie, so you can wear it on its own but I paired it with Bond Girl and it was gorgeous.
I also got their Wonder Glow foundation (€42) which seems to do the same as my fave YSL Touché Eclat foundation but we’ll see if it’s as good. I got it in the shade 4 Fair and I was surprised at first but it seems to have more of a yellow undertone to it instead of pink. It’s going to be hard to beat the YSL one but we’ll see.
I also went into Kiehls and I’ve always wanted to get something from them because I’ve heard so many good things about them from other bloggers! I have been meaning to get an eye cream and I let the very helpful skin expert know about what I needed. She pointed me towards the Rosa Arctica Eye cream (€44.50). It is supposed to “visibly repelenish and rejuvenate the eye”
I have very dry and dark under eyes and also the lines are staring to creep up so I am hoping that this will be good for the dryness I experience. I will let you know ASAP. I was given a sample of the Midnight Recovery which is supposed to be amazing! I’ve yet to try it and will get back to you on it as well. If it’s good I will definitely be purchasing it! I wish we had Kiehls in Limerick!
It was a very successful trip to Dundrum Town Centre. Let me know what you have recently purchased and if you’ve tried any of the above! Also let me know what other Kiehls products you recommend.
